The official ball for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa was the Jabulani. This model like its predecessor, Teamgeist, also is composed of large panels to get the most smooth surface as possible. But technically speaking, its surface has a roughness in order to be controlled better by players. The ball has 11 different colors which means 11 players of a team, the 11 official languajes in South Africa, the 11 communities of South Africa. The ball's design represents the stadium where the final was played, the Soccer City Stadium.
The Jabulani consists of 8 3D-EVA panels and TPU panels which are joined in order to get the ball the most spherical as possible.
On the final match, Adidas introduced Jobulani, the Jabulani's brother. It was so similar but the only difference was the color. The Jobulani had the golden color around its surface.
Here we can see Iniesta kicking the Jobulani to score the only goal which became Spain on the new World Cup champion.
