At the beginning of 20th century there was an important change about the production of those first soccer boots. Cleats were no longer elongated. They were like current ones but made of wood. The most common colors were black and brown like you can see in the pictures. Those boots continued covering the players' ankles to avoid injuries. This design was used from 1900 to 1930. We can say that this model of boots is the best known of all old football boots. Therefore these soccer boots model became in the icon of all old soccer boots as happened with the 1930 ball of twelve panels.
